About Cloudera Components

- CDH – The Cloudera distribution of Apache Hadoop and other related open-source projects, including Cloudera Impala and Cloudera Search.
- Cloudera Manager – Cloudera Manager provides a web-based Admin console for administration of your enterprise data. It also includes the Cloudera Manager API, which you can use to obtain cluster health information and metrics, as well as configure Cloudera Manager.
- Cloudera Navigator – An end-to-end data management tool for the CDH platform. Cloudera Navigator enables administrators, data managers, and analysts to explore the large amounts of data in Hadoop.

Cloudera Quickstart VM
Cloudera Quickstart VM gives you everything out of the box installed on a VM so that you can directly get your hands dirty playing with them.
Just do a simple Google search, download the VM after filling up a small form or by logging in first, load it using your preferred virtualization software like VMWare, Virtual Box or KVM. They even provide a Docker image.
